There really is nothing like doing yoga on the beach in the summer.
The soft sand … the view of the ocean … the blue sky above - it all somehow makes every aspect of doing yoga easier, more pleasant and intense.
It feels like being in nature supports all that is beneficial about yoga. Yoga makes you stronger, more open, more flexible, happier, healthier and therefore more beautiful.
Don't take my word for it - ask someone you trust, who has attended Yoga al fresco in Tisvilde.
If it is too windy or rainy we do yoga inside the old boat house. We have been up to 12 yogis in there. Very cosy. T
he Boat House Society (Bådelauget) has graciously let me use the house in the morning for yoga in case of bad weather.
We become a family - a kula - after having shared yoga many times.
Every morning starts with a cup of mild herbal tea on Tina's blanket during check-in. It is a mild way to start the day.
Every day the yoga class has a different theme.
108 Sun Salutations - Surya Namaskar
At the end of August some of us slowly build up to doing 108 sun salutations.
It is not for beginners, who only attend once a week, but for people with a regular yoga praxis or a determination to venture into a meditative two hours pretty tough yoga adventure.
We finish off with a lovely brunch at Køster og Co. to celebrate.
